Login to winSCP

In Windows one can use a client such as WinSCP (available from http://winscp.net/) to secure file transfers.

• The first thing you must do after installing winSCP is to add your shellium shell account credentials to the program as seen in the first image to the right, remember to click Save and store the session as username@shellium.org; it is however highly recommended you do NOT set the program to retain your passwords.

• Now click the Login option, you will be greeted by an authentication banner as seen in the second image to the right, click the Never show this banner again box and select Continue.

• At this point you will be prompted to enter your password as seen on the third image to the right, you will be required to enter your password twice before a successful login can be processed.

• Assuming you have entered your password successfully you should now be seeing a directory listings much like the fourth image on the right, the program itself works much the same way that a normal FTP client will and you will find no problems in navigating the system if you have prior FTP client experience.

Using winSCP

Use it like a filemanager, on the left side (your pc); right side (shellium.org)

You can now transfer files directly from your pc to your shell and vice versa by simply dragging and dropping from one to the other.

If you have problems viewing a file you have uploaded remember you may need to change the flag (chmod XXX)
