SaslServ

SaslServ is an IRC Services module that allows the use of SASL. SASL stands for Secure Authentication and Security Layer and allows users to become identified to services (i.e. - NickServ) before they are even fully connected to the network. The benefits of this is that, before you ever join any channels, your clock will be activated if you have one. This will prevent ANY sign of you IP being shown.

How It Works

SASL works by sending identification information upon connection. When a client that supports SASL connects to a server, it sends the username and password to the server as soon as the "registration" phase is complete. Because of this, the IRC Services recognize the user as identified immediately, before and JOIN commands are issued. Not all clients support SASL natively, but almost all of them can be extended to support it via a script.
