Connecting To A Server
There will be a popup requiring to enter your information. You Need To Enter your full name, your email, username and alternate nick. You Will Not Click Connect until you choose the server you want.
Under the Connect Tab, You will Select Servers. At the right, you will see "Add"
Then Another Popup will Appear.
The Server And The Port Is The Most Important. The IRC Address is followed by irc. then the network name and by (.com, .net) Eg. irc.example.com
The Default Port is 6667 but if you want to connect SSL, you will add a plus to the port.
The Description will identify the irc connection with a name like:
Go Back On The First Screen and Click "Connect"
If you want to connect faster, you can type :
/server irc.example.com:[port]
Leave The Port Blank if it is the default port (6667) . For Another Server Window To Connect On Multiple Servers you will do:
/server -m irc.example.com:
If you leave out the -m, it will disconnect from a irc network (if any) and connect to the desired one
