Konversation is an IRC client for the KDE. A quote from Konversation's `About' window: "Konversation is a client for the Internet Relay Chat (IRC) protocol. Meet friends on the net, make new acquaintances and lose yourself in talk about your favourite subject."

Konversation can be downloaded from http://konversation.kde.org/

Here is a short introduction on how to join #shellium in Freenode.

• Once you start Konversation, you have to add the server to the Server List.

File -> Server List...

• Server List - Konversation

Click New

• New Network - Konversation

Network name: Freenode

• Add Server - Konversation

Click Add

Server: irc.freenode.net

Click OK

• Add Channel - Konversation:

Click Add

Channel: #shellium

Click OK

• Identities - Konversation

Click Edit

Real name: Your real name
Nickname: your_nickname

Click OK

Note: Add upto three nicknames, so that you can be sure to have your alternate nickname of choice when you join the network after a ping timeout.

Check the box next to:

Connect on application start up

Click OK

Uncheck the box next to:

Show at application startup

Click Connect
