Requirements:

  1. You must be a full member at SHellium, trial members can not become a DJ.
  2. You must follow SHellium channel and shell rules; no locking of the shell or banning in the channel due to misconduct.

DJ Rules

  1. No AFK-Streaming (away from keyboard) - don't DJ if you will be away for more than 20 minutes.
  2. Your bitrate must NOT be higher than 48 kbps.
  3. You must stream with the "AAC+ Encoder" - otherwise, the webplayer will not work correctly.

Streaming to SHOUTcast - Windows

For Windows users, I recommend using Winamp and the SHOUTcast source plug-in for Winamp.

Download and install Winamp and the SHOUTcast radio plug-in.

After installing both, start Winamp and open Preferences (CTRL-P) and click on the DSP/effects subcategory under the Plug-ins tree. Click the plug-in for SHOUTcast source and it should open. Now you are ready to talk to edwardthefma at #shellium-radio.

Streaming to SHOUTcast - Linux

After Installing VLC (apt-get install vlc) run the following command

Command

cvlc http://shoutcastdaemon --no-sout-video --sout '#transcode{acodec=aac, ab=48, channels=2, samplerate=44100, aenc=ffmpeg}:std{access=shout{aac=1,bitrate=48, samplerate=44100, channels=2,name='SHellium.org',genre='dnb'}, mux=raw, dst=admin:mypasswordhere@myshoutcastserver:myport//}' --daemon "
