Shellium wiki

Welcome to the Shellium.org wiki. This is a collection of help pages, tutorials, rules, and general information that you might find useful during your time on Shellium.

This page details how you can write articles on a wiki in general, and on the Shellium wiki in particular. If you have ever edited a wiki before, this should not be new to you. If you have edited for Wikipedia before, you might miss some of the higher end features on the "mother-of-all-wikis". Regardless you will find that most of the editing features are the same. We will focus on wiki markup to show you how you can format your pages to look better.

Getting ready

Chances are, you were sent here when you signed up for a shell account and were asked to contribute by members on the IRC channel. The first thing you should do is set up an account for yourself here. Click on the Login/create account link on the top right corner of this page, and set up your account. This will let you get credit for your work. Once you're logged in you should see more links in the upper right hand corner.

Tip: The my contributions link shows all the work you have done on the wiki. Give this link to people on IRC to show them how much you've done.

Even when you've got your account, don't put the wiki aside. Keep contributing and checking up on other people's work. The best part of a wiki is that its constantly being read, edited and improved. You will always find new articles here, some of which might be helpful to you.
